Excell Foundation (Excell) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), founded and officially inaugurated in May 2002 in Ghana. It is committed to grassroots development activities that engage communities and empower them to take action in solving their problems.
Excell has an office in the Greater Accra Region and Regional Focal Points in the Central, Eastern and Northern Regions.
Mission
Our reason for being is to enhance the quality of lives and worth of people especially women in communities in which they live. We do this by providing social and economic opportunities to individuals and organisations for sustainable development.
Objectives
- Promote and provide opportunities for social and economic development in the areas of education, health, skills acquisition, civic and legal rights awareness among vulnerable groups such as women, children and youth in deprived communities.
- Provide training in leadership development, training coordination and other related services that promote women’s empowerment, rights and status.
- Facilitate the mobilization of funds to provide micro-credit and training in small-scale business and financial management.
- Increase accessibility of the youth and women of reproductive ages to broad range of quality reproductive health services including safe family planning motherhood and HIV/AIDS education and prevention
